the included breakfast was great and the reception rooms were an inviting area to sit.
The decor was tired however obvious renovations appear to have begun. Parking is not convenient of cheap. The beds were not remade during the day.
Have stayed here before & thought that it's location was excellent
Now looking very tired and in need of sympathetic modernisation
Lift husband only went in lift twice, on arrival and on departure. It actually stopped half way down door on departure, while i'm laughing histericaly husband panicing, until I put him out of his misery and just pressed the ground button again. Could do with a bit of tender love and care , I know its an old building with traditional decor but you can see extensive ware that needs attention.
Great location central for all of bath
Great location two blocks from railway station, quiet room.
Very cetral location, good staff, clean room and resturant onsite although there are lots of eateries close by.
We stayed here for a Stag do (tried to be as quiet as possible!) and it worked beautifully. The hotel has a fantastic location for both shopping and going out and offers this at a very reasonable price. The rooms are comfortable and offer everything you need, they are not luxurious but then you don't expect that for a 3 star. Would recommend for anyone. The breakfasts are great!!
Some of the staff were a little grumpy at times!
Friendly staff, breakfast good even if a little slow at arriving, very near the Bath Spa train station, quiet rooms.
Good central location, less than 5 mins stroll from the train station, on a quiet street (quiet during my midweek stay, in any case). Staff were smiling, friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and very good value at £55 per night.
The staff were excellent, no the hotel is not fashionable, however as a couple who frequently travel, this hotel provided everything one could want. All facilities worked, no bulbs etc that were not working. Extras that were provided were appreciated i.e. Facial tissues and cotton wool. We would certainly stay here again.
Central location to bath attractions and friendly staff.
The location is excellent. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the centre bath. There was ample tea, coffee, sugar etc and complimentary biscuits which seems a rarity these days. Breakfast was adequate...not a big selection but enough.
The hotel is very old so the floorboards creak, the decor is very dated and could do with a make over. Our shower was basically non useable. You could get wetter out in a shower of rain. The cold tap on the bath also was unpredictable of whether it worked or not. The hotel is expensive for what it is and on top it cost £12 per day to park in the car park.
I liked that fact that it was so central both from the trains and buses and easy walk into the city.Although the room was below standard on the big plus side was the friendliness and helpful staff employed there, who made the stay very pleasant.
The hotel is undergoing redoration, according to the notice in the dining room, my single room was desperately in need of revamping, the window was broked, the carpet was quite disgusting, and the decor very very dated, though the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I did not complain as I got what I paid for.
I liked the location of the hotel. It is well placed approximately 4 mins walk from the railway station. It is just a few minutes from many of the sights of Bath and shopping is close by. Our room was quiet with no noise from the street outside. The breakfast was appetising with a plentiful supply of frest fruit and the hot food was freshly cooked. The dining room staff members were pleasant and helpful at all times.
Some of the front office staff could be more polite. In particular the young woman who booked us in on Friday the 18th March was sullen and impolite. I feel that she would benefit from some training in front of house/reception skills. To be fair her humour had improved by the time we checked out on Sunday the 20th. However, our first impressions were extremely negative which is, to say the least, bad for business. Other front of house staff were more polite in particular the gentleman who served at the bar and reception on Saturday night was very helpful. We had previously stayed at your hotel in Lyndhurst where the staff were extremely polite and helpful and this was one of the reasons we decided to stay at Pratt's.
large comfortable bedroom and dining room.
poor information given on Reception
